Our beautiful and unique tiles are hand painted with the wide range of glaze colours. They are fired above 1000 Celsius to produce very lovely artistic effects. More than a dozen procedures are necessary to produce each piece of art. Each tile of the same design is slightly different as each one is made individually. As they undergo several cycles of firing and cooling often fine lines appear. This crazing – which is often used as a decorative feature – has no effect on the strength or durability of the tile. They can be hung as pictures for they have felt backing and a strong stainless steel hook, used as hot plates or place mats or can be tiled into a kitchen or bathroom, or hung outside if the back and sides are sealed.
